Childcare Information

Adath Israel is happy to provide childcare services for our littlelest members free of charge. Please be advised that this service is mandatory for any children that are unable to sit quietly next to their parents in shul. Childcare will be provided in the social hall from 10 AM-2PM for preschool-elementary school aged children. The children must be signed in by a care provider. Activities will be provided and children will not be permitted to run around the shul or leave the building. A lunch consisting of peanut butter sandwiches, apples, cucumbers, cheese, crackers, and water will be served. Please provide your own diapers.
 

Yoni Weiss, Special Guest Cantor                                                                                                                 
In order to assist Rabbi Landau with leading the High Holiday services, Adath Israel has employed Yoni Weiss. Yoni has extensive experience leading Rosh Hashana/Yom Kippur davening for several communities in Israel. He enjoys singing traditional tunes, as well as Carlebach and modern music. In addition, Yoni has experience in informal education. He served as a Shaliach for the Jewish Agency in numerous places including Melbourne, Australia and Missoula, Montana.  Day-to-day, he works as an economist for a large consumer goods company. Yoni is married to Paula, an award-winning documentary film producer. They have been married for almost 3 years and reside in Jerusalem, Israel. They are delighted to be joining Adath Israel for the High Holidays and becoming a part of the community.
