) has been rabbi of Congregation Adath Israel since 2005. In his time here he has become beloved by the members of our community and an important ambassador to the Bay Area Jewish community. With his easy going nature, warm personality, and engaging teaching style, he has galvanized our community and helped with our growth. He has been profiled for these efforts in the Wall Street Journal and in the book Straight Down the Middle, a book about golf and religion written by renowned author Joshua Karp. He has been quoted on National Public Radio for his strong opposition to the proposed San Francisco circumcision ban. Rabbi Strulowitz is a member of the Board of Governors of the San Francisco Jewish Community Federation and on the Executive Committee of the Board of Rabbis of Northern California. He and his wife Bethany have three daughters and a son.
